Tip #1- Photographing Pets with Phone (Angle)

Thanks so much for all of you who have shared and liked my BryanMetzgerPhoto Facebook page. In return, I am starting to post tips on taking better photos using whatever camera you have. This should help everyone especially those that may not be able to hire me right now.

Please like and share if you enjoy them and I’ll make sure I keep them coming.

Tip #1- Photographing Pets with Phone (Angle)

Pictured on the left is the typical image that most take of their pets. These are great to look back on because it reminds us of how we actually see our loved ones on a day to day basis. So often we have a phone loaded with this same pose.

Consider the alternative to add to your pet archive. GET LOW. Kneel down to eye level with your pet for a completely different perspective. Pictured on the right I actually got lower than Rocco’s eye level and looked up at him. The image on the left shows his funny face but the right image shows off his face, chest, legs, paws, and so much more depth.

Don’t forget that most phones have a focus option. When you are to take the picture if you tap the screen on your pets face it will lock the focus on that resulting in a better image. When focusing make sure one or both eyes are in the focus square.

Try this out and post your pics on my wall or just give up and hire www.PurrfectPawtrait.com for a full photo shoot!
